Zoltán Ruszkai, MD, PhD

Zoltán Ruszkai, MD, PhD graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary in 2004. He is a specialist in anaesthesiology and intensive therapy, currently working as the Head of Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy at Flór Ferenc Hospital Kistarcsa, Hungary. He reached the PhD title in 2020. Since 2022 he is an Associate professor at the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy, Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary.

His main research interests are: personalized mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic management, intraabdominal hypertension, and perioperative intensive care.

He is a member of the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intesive Care (ESAIC) and the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM).

He has become a member of the SepsEast initiative during the COVID-19 pandemic, and he was one of the founding members and regular lecturers on COVID-19 related webinars of the so called "Mentoral Network" in Hungary.

He has been a regular speaker on Hungarian conferences on critical, emergency and perioperative care.
